Privacy Policy & Notice

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

The Digital Today operates this publication and acts as the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. This policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal data.

What we collect, and why. We only collect data you explicitly provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, used strictly to deliver our research and insights to your inbox. We also use Google Analytics to see which pages are popular; this records general location, device type, and pages viewed, fully aggregated and anonymized — it can’t identify you individually.

How we use, store, and share it. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. Your subscriber data is stored on our own infrastructure, using FluentCRM on WordPress, hosted with Hostinger. Our primary subscriber database is hosted in India (Mumbai region); backups and system logs are replicated to a secondary region in Singapore for redundancy and business continuity. Newsletter and transactional emails are delivered via Hostinger’s SMTP infrastructure.

Cookies. This site uses basic cookies for core functionality and analytics, with a cookie consent banner in place. You can reject non-essential cookies through your browser at any time without losing access to our articles.

Your rights under the DPDP Act. You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete your information, and file a complaint if you believe your data has been mishandled.

Withdrawing consent and data retention. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. Once you unsubscribe, your email is marked inactive and permanently purged from our active systems within 30 days.

Language accessibility. If you’d like this notice in Hindi or another Indian language, email us and we’ll do our best to accommodate the request.

Grievance Officer and contact. As an independent, one-person initiative, Anurag Gupta serves as the designated Grievance Officer. For data requests, corrections, deletions, or privacy complaints: disclosure@thedigitaltoday.in. We acknowledge privacy inquiries within 24 hours and aim to resolve valid data requests within 15 days.
